I Hired a Contract Killer

After fifteen years' service, Henri Boulanger was created redundant from his job. Shocked, he tries suicide, but can't go through with this, so he hires a contract killer at a pub to kill him at some unspecified time in the future. But he meets and falls in love with Margaret, a flower-seller, that makes Henri realise that his life has some significance after all. But if he goes straight back to the pub to cancel the contract,'' he sees it has been demolished - and there isn't any way he'll get in touch with the killer...
