The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

This romantic tragedy begins in 1957. A 20-year-old French auto mechanic, guy Foucher, has fallen inlove with 17-year-old Geneviève Emery, a worker in her mother's chic but embattled umbrella shop. On the day before Guy is to leave in Algeria to get a excursion of struggle, he and Geneviève create love.
