At the dawn of the French Revolution, gastronomy still is a prerogative of the aristocrats. When talented cooker Manceron is rejected by the Duke of Chamfort, he sheds the taste for food preparation. Back in his lodge, his meeting with the mystical Louise obtains him back on his feet. While they both feed a wish of vengeance versus the Battle each other, they make a decision to create the really initial dining establishment in France.
