North Sea Texas
Pim resides in a run-down house in a dead-end street somewhere on the Flanders coast, with his mum Yvette Bulteel. Life here aromas of stale beer cigarettes, vermouth and cold French fries. Mother Yvette uses her friend Etienne, with his lousy gray Fiat, being a catalyst for those nights she needs to"perform". Pim dreams of a better life, imagining princesses and beauty queens. But if Pim turns 16 he dreams of Gino, the handsome boy next door. Since these were children there was this tension between them. Now Gino is now the motorcycling hero of Pim. Little humiliations cold mockery and also bits of hope earn up Pim's own life. Of course he flees to his dream world.
