American Revolution 2
Footage of the 1968 Democratic Convention's political demonstrations and the Chicago Police Department's and the National Guard's aggressive response are shown in American Revolution 2. Following the Chicago Black Panther Party as they seek common ground with various white activist groups, the filmmakers investigate the protests' absence of an African American presence. Activists from the Young Patriots, a white Appalachian community in Chicago's Uptown district, demonstrate against police violence in one scenario. Social and political aims that transcend racial boundaries are found by the seemingly different groups, such as the lack of job and bad living conditions. A cross-racial and cross-ethnic political movement is the movie's lovely but unfulfilled ambition.
