Robot & Frank
A delightful striking comedy and, for good measure, a heist picture. Curmudgeonly Frank resides by himself. His routine calls for daily visits to his regional library, by which he's a twinkle in his eye to the librarian. His grown kids are worried about their father's wellbeing and purchase him a caretaker robot. Resistant to the idea, Frank soon enjoys the benefits of robotic service -- such as a house that is clean and healthful foods -- and eventually starts to treat his robot-like an authentic companion. With the assistance of his robot, Frank's passion for his unlawful profession is reignited, worse or for better.
