Sonatine
Kitano plays a Tokyo yakuza exhausting of gangster living, Murakawa. Together with a few of his own henchmen, his manager sends him to help end a gang war, allegedly to mediate between two clans. He finds that the dispute between the clans is insignificant and also Murakawa's headquarters have been blasted and he and his gang have been ambushed at a pub wondering why he had been sent to Okinawa at all.
