A Czechoslovakian teenager living with her grandma, valerie, is blossoming into womanhood, however transformation demonstrates secondary to the ramifications she experiences when she puts on a pair of magic earrings. Seeing the world around her Valerie needs to endure her sexual awakening while attempting to distinguish reality from fantasy as she encounters a stranger, lecherous priest Gracian and more carnival folk.
