Soldier Blue
After a cavalry band is massacred by the Cheyenne, only two survivors remain: Honus, a naive private devoted to his duty, and Cresta, a woman who'd dwelt with the Cheyenne 2 decades and whose sympathies lie more with them compared with the federal government. Together, they have to try to reach the cavalry's main basecamp. Honus is torn between his affection for Cresta, While they travel ahead.
