Wild River
A youthful field secretary for its TVA concerns rural Tennessee to oversee the construction of a dam on the Tennessee River. He encounters opposition from the regional folks, particularly a farmer who objects on his job (with pay) of black laborers. Much of the plot revolves around the eviction of an elderly woman from the home on an island in the River, and the son's love affair with the widowed grand daughter of that woman.
