The Elephant Man
A Victorian surgeon enrolls a heavily disfigured man being abused by his"owner" as a side-show freak. Behind his monstrous façade, there's shown a person of great intellect and sensitivity. Based on the actual story of Joseph Merrick (called John Merrick from the picture ), a badly deformed man in 19th century London.
