Awakenings
Dr. Malcolm Sayer, a shy research physician, uses an experimental drug to"awaken" the catatonic victims of a rare disease. Leonard could be your very first patient to get the treatment that is contentious. His awakening, filled with enthusiasm and amazement, proves a rebirth too, since the exuberant patient shows the simple but unutterably sweet pleasures of life to the introverted doctor.
