The Hospital is Currently a 2006 drama starring Zhang Guozhu, Leon Dai, Janine Chang, Jerry Yan, Ng Man Tat and Tang Zhiping. It led by Cài Yuè Xun and had been created by Yang Ming International Production. The show comprises thirty-nine 60-minute episodes and has been boardcasted on free to air China Television from 1-5 August 2006 to 6 October 2006, Mondays to Fridays at 20:00. This Hospital's story is situated on the 2000 book of the same title by author Hou Wenyong. It depicts the power struggle and prestige in a national university-affiliated clinic in Taiwan, as well as the relations within the community. Because of the resemblances in the title and story putting, Hou's publication is frequently compared alongside the Japanese book Shiroi Kyot?, written by Toyoko Yamasaki. Both works are adapted into tv series in Asia. In 2007the drama won Best Directing for a Television Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series and has been nominated for eight awards at the 42nd Golden Bell Awards.
