He's now 35 and has opted to compete in the Freeride World Tour, a five-stop competition circuit where skiers are judged on their ability to descend through difficult, un-groomed terrain. Tanner begins the latest stage of his career, battling the limits of an aging body while confronting the deepest memories of his life, despite never having competed in a freeride tournament before.
