The Jetsons
The Jetsons is an American sitcom airing in primetime until 1987 after as a portion of this morning programming block called The Funtastic World of HannaBarbera, in 1962-1963. New episodes were produced from. It had been the Spaceage counterpart of Hanna-Barbera to The Flintstones. Re runs is observed usually on Boomerang. The Jetsons are now living in a utopia of inventions, aliens, holograms, and fancy robotic contraptions in the year 2062 while the Flintstones are now living in a world with machines powered by both birds and dinosaurs. The first series aired on Sunday nights using reruns, on ABC beginning September 23, 1962 and comprised 2-4 incidents. At the time of its debut, it had been the first program ever to be aired in color on abc tv. By comparison, The Flintstones, while always produced in color, was still broadcast in gray for its first two seasons. Saturday mornings, the show aired following its own primetime run for years, starting on ABC for the 1963-64 season and in future seasons on CBS and NBC.
